What's the safest and strongest knot to be tying a Korda subline tapered leader.12lb to 40lb to a mono 12lb line? I use the Mahin knot on my spod setup which is braid to armokord leader will the mahin knot be ok or is there a better alternative ? 👍🏻
I do use a Albright knot when tying fluro leaders to mono but every now and again have issues with the knot catching the rings frap etc wouid this problem be solved if the 2 lines 12lb leader to 12lb mono being the same diameter??

I use a double grinner for joining all types of line, never let me down.

Use tapered leaders for sea fishing. Always used a 6 turn blood knot, absolutely reliable as long as the diameters are similar.

Mahin for me on my tapered leaders... 7 turns up then 4 back...

I use tapered leaders and use a double Grinner knot which seems to work well when joining lines of similar diameter.

Prolly a back to Grinner would be ok with 12lb lines, just got to give it a go and see what it's like going through your rings. The most effective line would be fully tapered lines so you do away with joining two lines. The Korda stuff is pretty decent.
I don't think there is any difference in using the Albright knot or back to back Grinner as they both have a slight tag end - depending on how long or short you cut the tags - that I believe is part of the problem going through eyes. Yes the Carrot knot goes through the eyes really well, just a shame it's a s-hit knot as it undoes itself however tight you pull it.
