I'm aware that it's predominantly a water sports venue but I follow a page on Facebook that has a lodge on what looks like a monstrous Great Lake there and they've said you can fish off the deck. Anyone know anything about it. Obviously there's going to be fish, probably full of pike. But anything else?

Now there's a question of mystery. I'm local to there and know of lots of the larger fish in the area but tallington remains a mystery. Definitely carp in most of their waters but not in numbers i believe. Sorry for not being much help but get stuck in if you can id say.

Pike fishing used to be great.
There are carp in at least 2 of the adjacent waters so I 'd be surprised if there aren't a few in there - watersports would be a problem in the warmer months.
Massive water to come to terms with though.

My ex wife's father in law bought a place there when he moved from Spain . I never fished the ski lake but pike fished the lake which his home backed up on to. One session I had 15 pike all over 10 pound to 23lb . Don't normally say where I have caught my pike from but you could only fish it if you owned a property on there . I remember having all 3 rods going off at once it used to be mental for the pike fishing as they were neglected . Run out of bait one trip and had a mid double on a roll mop no joke. Lots of tench in there and a couple of pics I see of some low twenty carp. I would be o treated if anyone had fished the other adjacent lakes

Sounds like somewhere that's probably worth a crack if you own a plot, but would be a struggle over just a weekend. Can imagine the piking in the winter would be good, not sure the mrs would fancy a weekend in the hot tub in November

Has to be some special fish in there as tallington is surrounded by big fish.

Some good uns got chopped up by the speed boats years ago but there's still some there how big they are I've no idea
