Is anyone using 13' Free Spirit Hi S ive rods? I'm looking for something that'll work for distance (150yds), but also reasonably for closer stuff.
These are pretty high end & its a lot of money to drop without being able to try them out in a meaningful way so any reviews etc would be really welcome.

I have that rod. Had them for about 8 years and love them for everything. Margin, bags or long range.
Personally, I can't fault them. But rods are very personal. If you can try casting one. I got mine from tackle box and they said if I didn't like them they'd give me my money back!! Do t think they'd do that now mind lol

ive had 12ft his ives for over 10 years lovethem infact just had them re built,perfect for solid bag work i can get 130yards ,and im not a massive chucker. its the only set of rods i own use them for everthing expensive but you dont hear many lads slagging them off.

Been using 13ft hi sive for a couple of years, good casting rods and have been achieving up to 160yds with rig but also have good action for playing fish and fishing up closer.
Not poker stiff and compress well.
Would not say they were out and out distance rods but a good compromise
