Anyone know of any lakes with a good stock of carp for a beginner angler. I live in wiltshire near Marlborough

I haven't fished it but have heard a few people talking about Woodside Lakes near Pewsey lately, some nice fish but nothing massive, looks nice

I grew up just down the road in Pewsey, but have always travelled to Berks to fish
Woodside is a nice little place... certainly the best option close to you.
You've got a few day tickets in Berkshire... Theale Island, Barton Court, Frobury Farm. There's also quite a few clubs that have easier waters on them which would be far more cost effective and would likely be a bit quieter. Check out the Newbury and Thatcham clubs.

Cheers mate. I've fished Barton 3 times before for carp and blanked each time. I've looked at Thatcham and Newbury angling clubs. Do you have any experience of fishing at there venues?

Sabre Lake at Calne on the Amalgamated Ticket. Good lake friendly anglers lots of Carp up to about 25lbs

Ivy house lakes near wooton Bassett has a runs lake, most I've had is 29 in 24 hours.
