Can anyone recommend the Fox sleep systems? I'm looking at the Flatliner 8 leg bed and flatliner 5 season bag, it seems a very expensive set up and what I want to know is it worth it or is one of the cheaper systems just as good OR should I be looking at another make?

If the 5 season Fox is anything like the 5 season Nash you will be to warm in it, in all but the coldest of times.

The Nash SS 5 season come with 2 bags that zip on ,so in th e summer you can us the 3 season bag and then add the 5 season when its really cold , although i have no idea if the Fox systems are the similar.

Can't comment on the fox as I think they produce utter crap. However as said the Nash ss is a great bit of kit,if not pricey. Warm enough for any temps where the lake isn't frozen, and plenty of adjustment on the legs. I had the original version which lasted many years, and have since replaced with another which a couple of years in is still in perfect condition

I have a Fox Flatliter mk 1, bought it when they first came out and not looked back, also have friends who use them and never heard a bad word, just saying from personal experience.

I can't believe anyone can call fox utter crap then recommend a Nash product

I've the mk2 flatliner 6 leg . Got the 5 season bag but it excessively hot , so I know use a 3 season with a cover and covers just about most seasons. I'm never going be fishing in temps that require a 5 season. The bed itself is very comfy and is a bit bigger than a standard bed and is also a couple of inches taller than most. It's also quite heavy but not that bulky with the 3 season bag and cover ..... it's my go to bed for anything over 36 hrs or where you can park behind your swim

I have the Duralite system and it is superb

I have a 5 season duralite and also a nash indulgence 3 season and they are both excellent. The Fox is obviously much lighter though

i went from the mk1 flatliner to the duralite system.

Both have been great beds, so much so i have kept the mk1 for the little'un to use in a few years

I've got the flatliter and I love it, really comfy and warm. Had it about 2 years now

I've got a Mark 1 Flatliter and can fold it flat with the bag, two pillows and a thermal cover in it.

I ordered a Flatliner 3 season to replace it and was amazed how bulky and heavy it was compared to the Flatliter.. It weighs an absolute ton (way more than the Flatliter) and was impossible to fold flat with anything other than the bag in it.

I certainly wouldn't want to barrow it anywhere and can only see it being practical if you can park right behind your swim.

Ended up sending it back and getting a Duralite instead. Really disappointed that Fox have moved away from the original Flatliter concept of lightweight decent sized beds.

Received the Flatliner on Thursday and swapped it for a Duralite yesterday. Not used it yet though.
