Just got the emblem spod reel. Old model not the new 35scw. The drag on it is silent rather than having the usual clicking sound. Is this right or have I got a dud one?

I looked in the shop today, it looks good but feels a bit plasticky

The drag knob is silent but the actual drag should click when the spool is turned, if its fhe latter then theres a leaf spring situated under the spool in a little metal holder/cup the spring ls almost an elongated c shape with a slight point, these do wear but are very cheap to replace and almost always the reason the click is quiet or non existent, they wear a flat on the point.

The old version is bullet proof. New is mot always better especially when it cones to reels.
