Hi all, I've been thinking about upgrading my bivvy. Had a jrc 2 man twin skin for few years now. I don't really need a2 man, just had this in case kids ever wanted to come.
I've been thinking about something with but more head space, I'm not particularly tall but it would save my back a bit. Think I've narrowed it down to the nash titan hide xl and the fox r series xl. I really like how easy it looks to put up and take down the titan hide xl. I have 2 trips to france over the next year and s wondered if anyone had done a week in a hide xl and how they found it, I'm conscious it has thinner material than most bivvies out now?

Ive done 2 weeks under a tempest brolly with a skull cap if that helps at all (in terms of space etc)
I did have to put the mesh on because of the mossies bit it was fine space wise
Hide xl wouldvbe fine if you dont mind slumming it a tiny bit as it will never have the luxury of loads of space
If you get the fox r series, make sure you test it properly under a hose before you commit to 2 weeks in france

Hide XL is great plenty big enough for doing a week in France in it great shelter for the money the material is just fine on it plenty thick enough

I'll be taking my hide xl to France in sept (hopefully).
Unless you need loads of room it'll be fine, and the materials plenty good enough.

Yeah we're going in Sept hopefully as well and then again next July. The place we're going to in sept has a cabin that my old man will be sleeping so if need be I can chuck few bits in there.
