Struggling to know which pod to choose so just thought I'd pick up some opinions if I could. Looking at the Solar P1 worldwide or the same pod but the compact. I fish with 12ft rods so not sure if I need the bigger central bar of the standard pod or if I can get away with the shorter bar on the compact. I'm also not sure if the shorter front uprights are a good.or bad idea. Any opinions on my dilemma greatly appreciated

I've owned the WW for 15 years and I do vary the length quiet a lot due to bank and indication requirements. Using it on stages I can lock the legs into the runs of the boards seriously worth having the extension factor imho just to cope with terrain I actually think the fixed bar is a gimmick. I have made myself a lock down kit that clips onto the front and back with elastics I can tension these up further by closing the pods centre bar.

For what it's worth buddy I took your advise and ordered the standard P1 worldwide, not cheap but have wanted to upgrade for a longtime so very happy right now. The Solar range is so extensive it's possible to buy any additions I may need at a latter date so thanks for taking the time to reply

You're very welcome I still think it's the best pod on the market. I have the Euro conversion which comes out every now and then. As mentioned I've had mine for 15 years and love it for its shear versatility I always pack mine down and yet you could literally leave it set up and just remove the centre bar which I do when moving swims.
