Ive just purchased some ice washers for my infinty BR reel spools, , and noticed you can also get the carbonated washers for the bait runner tension knob.... has anyone else fitted carbon washers to the bait runner tension knob thingy, Is so was it easy to do and is it worthwhile.

If you've still got good baitrunner tension then i wouldnt mess about with it.

Thanks pal, they seem fine at the moment, but as there only 6 quid a reel i thought for 20 notes it may be worthwhile....i assumed that as it was the bait runner function it would be a lot more difficult than doing spools

Precisely that, it can be tricky to take the baitrunner drag system apart and many lads end up with a few spare bits left over
I have serviced many of my own reels but avoid the baitrunner mechanism.
Best leave well alone and only consider opening that end of the reel as a last resort.
Then if you do get stuck will have to send it to a guy to do the rebuild.

Btw, always slacken off the rear drag and baitrunner after fishing to reduce compression on the washers.
