Just taken delivery of three of these reels after winning them on eBay. One is basically new and a separately purchased pair have had some but not a lot of use.

The 'problem' I have with all three is that the bail arm doesn't snap over automatically when the grip is turned. I have a set of equivalent XTDs and the bail arms snap over fine almost all the time. Is this a feature of the longcast or a problem?

Would like to hear views from users of the reels...

Thanks for the reply - why do you think they designed a manual bail on these and not on the XTDs?

It's to stop the bail arm flipping on the cast accidentally

It's been discussed before and this is how they are now, mine definitely are the same and require manual flip over
