Has anyone fished one of these lakes. I'm moving to Wrexham so wondering if anyone got info on these lakes

I only know commonwood but it seems a decent place... Especially for N. Wales!

common wood are basically holes in the ground filled with carp, featureless mud pits that have been filled with big carp,

Ive only fishes llyn y gors and eisteddfa pellheli llyn y gors is good place to fish

Avoid both. Commonwood is a Noddy venue, expensive and just a series of holes dug, filled with water and stocked. Acton park lake doesn't have much to go at and you can get pestered. Slap bang in middle of housing estate.
If you must fish in the area then Burton Tower Syndicate or Wynstay syndicate.
If your after a day ticket I'd suggest driving for 40 minutes and you can get to Merrington, Rose Hill or Baden.

Right mate ,i was until recent the membership secretary for acton if you pm me i can fill u in with details.
Im now on commonwood and can answer any thing you need to know.
Merrington top place but £30 a night can be hard going carp to 40lb
Rose hill £450 a year nothing over 30
Wynnstay only big grassies £350 a year
Common wood £350 carp to 38lb
