Just wondering if anyone has bought the 50 inch JRC Coccon landing net which has a detachable stainless solar type spreader block.
Hearing mixed reviews, difficult to assemble and take apart, but really can't fault the the price so I'm wondering is it worth a punt?

Yes I have the 42 and 50 ..
So far great bits of kit.
I find it easy to assemble and break down.
Only strange bit is the take apart handle that they carried over from the roamer lite.which you needed to remove the head quickly. But now the arms pop out of block when its undone like a std net.

When you say the take apart handle is strange are you talking about the spreader block end or the handle grip end?
The spreader block reminds me of the old stainless solar block, and for less than 100 for the whole thing it seems great value. How easy is it to pack down and is the spreader block well engineered or a bit flimsy?

If its like the roamer net I had,it will be the bit of pole left attached to the spreader block when take main handle out.I think it is so you can lift the fish with net still up but without swinging a 6ft pole around or maybe if landed a fish from a boat

There looks to be a mini section of pole directly above main pole that screws in to the demountable spreader block.
For 80 pounds it seems worth a punt including that block and a 50 inch net. So let's see. Gotta be better than my current net which is falling apart 👍

Looks similar to my 50" roamer net. Had it for years and it's brilliant.

There is a take apart spigot about 6 inches from spreader.
In use you leave pole as one.. as when collapse the block the arms remove. But to pack away I remove the spigot section as it's a long handle.
From me .. I love the nets.. for the money.
