Hi can anybody give me some advice on a decent set of binoculars for my fishing. Always wanted some for spotting fizzing and watching my adjustable zig hit the surface at range. but didn't know where to start. Preferably nice and compact and not to expensive maybe 60 pound budget give or take a few pounds. Thanks for reading.

Bushnell h20 compacts are very good

Is that the 10 x 25 ones

personally I would not go above 8x as higher magnification makes it difficult to hold steady due to the field of view

and at the range we anglers use I found 8x to be the perfect size

and yes over the years I have owned and used a variety of different sizes checkout the bird watching forums for sound advice my suggestion 8 x 25 or 8 x 40 is ideal I have several pairs
but my all time best ever is a very LARGE pair of 7 x 50 Zenith binoculars they are amazing but huge lol

No I have the 8x25

Might also be worth considering a monocular. A thread a couple post down in relation to these.

Going to be buying some binoculars myself soon. Looks like the 8x25 then are the ones to get for doing what the original poster wants, and is exacly what I want them for.

Had a look at the Bushell range and there are quite a few models to choose from with prices accordingly.

Do they all do the same job with a difference that some are more robust etc.?
