Hi,
Just wondering if people think the Titan would be a worthy upgrade from the Tempest 100t brolly?
Got the tempest for short day sessions and overnighters with the intention of getting a proper session shelter.
However now thinking of saving £600 and sticking with the Tempest as I've got a front panel for it now.
Anyone else made the move or thought about it?

If you are going to be doing regular longer sessions then the T1 is a great session bivvy. Been using one for the last 12 months as I now have the time for session fishing. For days and overnighter it's overkill. Horses for courses.

Stripped down the T1 is perfect for over nighters so To is a brolly.

That's certainly true but why have the hassle. Just take your brolly, particularly spring and summer.

They do a skull cap, sllkk cap wrap or a full wrap for the Tempest brolly so you can cover all weathers/situations with the brolly. If it suits your needs for size etc then why get anything else?

The T1 goes up as quick as a brolly however depending on how often I go does cause me to question ease of drying it out. A brolly is certainly more easy all round and spring - summer fair weather days it's fine.
I do like the extra space the T1 has to offer and the fact the peak and rain gutter is great.
The tempest wasn't enough of an upgrade from my Hog. Having a tempest and a T1 would be questionable.

My thoughts too. I do all my fishing alone. The T1 camo that I have is a fantastic bit of kit with the wrap and inner capsule all bases are covered for session fishing. I have a brolly for lightweight, speed, small footprint for fishing on the move. Can't see the point in half and half compromises.

Been using the T1s since release, started with just the normal green one and now on the camo for the last year. The front peak on the green is a little crap and still allows water to pool even with the support bar. My green now gets used for my warm overnight and day session as it's stripped right back with no inner capsule, front or ground sheet and find it perfect.
My camo one I got everything from bivvy, HD groundsheet, normal and extended overwrap for a very good price at the beginning of 2020 which has been used for 3 x week in France this year and a few longer sessions in the UK.
A friend of mine has the 100t and is not that happy with it and I find it a little lacking and cheap feeling, not sure I would find myself doing more than 1 night under it unless it's in spring or the end off summer as the material let a lot of light through which would stop me sleeping in the day.

You can also buy a Social Cap for your Tempest 100T.
Is around 230 pounds.
Gives you extra room and kind of skull cap in winter.
For my Tempest V2 brolly I use the Utilities Front(same idea as social cap) in winter when weather is bad to give me extra room for chair waders and cooking equipment.
This will give you versitality of using the 100T on its own in warmer months and the extra space with the Social Cap on longer sessions and in colder months.
And is cheaper option than buying the T1.
But you can also sell your 100T and invest the money in a T1.
It all depends if you want more versitality or if you want more like a session bivvy.

How much extra room do you need bud? I do 4/5 session in my 100T without ever thinking I'd need more room in fact sometimes I feel like it's got to much. Only reason I'll be buying the social cap is for when my daughter comes

I'll be honest I haven't done a night yet in the 100T. Getting back into it after a long lay off.
Bought the 100t as a stop gap while waiting for the new Fox Frontier. It's not about room, just want a bit of luxury with the inner capsule as I hate the idea of vermin getting in the shelter, an capsule makes it a lot harder for them to get in.

That's fair enough mate I use to have a slx for the inner capsule but tbh I ended up taking it out and not using it. I now hate using a inner capsule I much prefer a wrap instead bud it stops the condensation where a inner capsule just hides it, it doesn't stop it
But as for vermin it helps a lot
