I wonder if any of you who own this pod can tell me a few things about it?
Does the adjustable main bar have a flat on one side to stop it from turning, and also, what is the diameter of the holes on the base where the banksticks go in?

Doesn't have a flat bit on the carbon pole so does twist. Not sure on the diameter of the holes but the dimensions for the banksticks could be on the Jag website?

I would say the omission of a flat on the main bar is a help more than anything for uneven banks.
I found one other make of bankstick that was a perfect fit; the Summit Tackle Colosseum Twistlock and the website shows them as 1/2" diameter. Was using these until JAG launched a 5" bankstick.

There was a thread on here a while back and after i had owned a jag stainless pod i assumed the prolite was the same 1/2" diameter but someone from jag came on and said it wasn't 1/2" but gave a metric size which was very close i cant remember exactly what it was but 12.something mm.

Yeah I used Summit sticks on my old 316 pod and then on my black pod.
And yes I was using stainless sticks on a black pod. The shame of it
Fortunately JAG came to my rescue with 5” black sticks while I still had waters that hadn't banned me

I was looking at the base for my setup. Unfortunately the JAG is only 12mm, my banksticks are 20mm.
Not too keen on no flat on the centre bar...

A flat on the centre bar would have to be perfectly machined to allow the uprights at each end to be perfectly vertical and inline with each other. I dont know any pods that have a flat. Your better off with just a tube so you have adjustment. The centre bar would also have to be made of solid bar to machine a flat on it and weigh quite a bit.

If the Egyptians could create the pyramids with the tools they had back in the day, I'm sure a company like JAG who supplies F1 teams bit 'n' bobs is more than capable with modern machinery and tooling to add a flat somehow.

IMHO. A flat on the pod base would make it less usable. Sometimes you need a bit of twist on uneven ground.
If you are worried about twist, which I wouldn't be to be honest, then use the lock it tool.
I think the super compact now uses the new cam lock levers, and these lock up very tight anyway.

Seems far too fussy for me. If it were all fixed, you'd just loosen the bankstick or side that was too short and ram it all into the ground. Also, being just 12mm banksticks, I know being the ham fisted type I am, I'd mangle them up or snap something.

You'd be doing extremely well to snap anything made by JAG, yes you might strip the black paint but you wont snap a bank stick!!
The adjustable buzz bars have flat sides... so if you get the newer Mk2 version with adjustable buzz bars and main bar you'll be sound.
