Not fished a lot but had this on my reels 10 years now is it time to change ?

Yeah change it, x line is cheap as well. Still the best on the market IMO

Debating going onto a mono or maybe stick with X Line ?

I've recently put together a 2and small dwarf set for when I go by cycle. I use little 4000 shimano BR so xline wouldn't really work. I spoiled them up with Syncro XT which is raved about on here. It's ok, but it really underline for me how.much I love Xline.

Out of interest, why would it not really work on them reels for you?

I've used it for years on original shimano 3500s without any issues at all

I see. well a few years back. before I got my son this dwarf setup that I mostly nick for myself.
I spooled up leftover xline on little baby biomasters that I've had a long while. and I found it springy and a pain in the ass.

So I presumed an even smaller spool would be the same or worse. ive no doubt it could settle down after a while but the XT has been great for a mono
