Hi mates,

I recently published this big guide on all the types of carp and wanted to share it with you. I thought you might find it interesting. I have been fishing for carp for over 10 years but didn't know about all of the different types, which is why I wanted to find out more.

Not wanting to put a downer on your work, but... a fully scaled, a linear and a leather are all types of mirror carp and are not a sub species, as you wrongly state. Just we choose to describe the scale patterns in the way we do.

You are a very brave man. Taxonomy is not for the faint hearted. I would check your sources and dig deeper before publishing definitive articles. I for one am not getting involved in this. Life is too short.

If you want to get pedantic about the types of "carp" or Cyprinid species, then you are several thousand short on the list. Even some of the more reknowned Carp species are missing as well.
