Are there any users of the ultima mainline from before and after their absence? I had a stock of the power carp xr from before but it ran out a long time ago, and I still haven't found a line as good.
Are the lines the same as before or are they lesser quality as usually happens?

I don't think so, the website is running and plenty of shops have stock. I suppose I'll just have to try it out

I have to say they are one brand I have never tried...I have been thinking recently the chatter around Ultima lines has dried up.
Was always tempted to try a fluoro coated line but through research always found them to be not as good as fluoro with regards to fluoro qualities and not as gd as mono for mono qualities.

The flouro coated power carp was good, sank really well, next to no stretch and much tougher than flouro. I moved onto the power carp xr when I needed more range and found it so good I used it for everything. It wasn't the best sinker I've used but I don't remember it lifting with the slightest bit of undertow like the synchro loaded has been doing for me lately.
