There seems a lot of competition in this price range, can anybody shed any light on solid value rods within this price bracket? Heard solid reviews about Greys Aircurve apart from the tip ring not being great. I'm not casting over 100 yards ever so can probably get away with 12ft 3lbers.

If your not casting long distances you can "get away" with 2lb t.c , seriously people are way overgunned regarding t.c on carp rods 12ft 2.75 tc will cover 90% of situations.Plenty of cork handle rods about you will get more opinions about rods on here that will leave you dazed.
