Hi all
I'm new to the whole wrapping thing. I normally cast till I hit the spot then clip up but would like to have a book of distances so I can cast one to each spot to minimise disturbance.
When I hit the spot, do I tighten up the line and then clip up and then reel in and measure how many wraps?
How tight do I go or just enough to lift the line?
Thanks, Chris

i normally clip up at said spot with slight tension on the line with rod at 45 degrees then clip up
i put a bit of a bigger spread by allowing the clip to be hit with the rod at differnet angles
gets slightly more difficult when theres a cross wind as youll hit clip short of spot
good luck

As per post 2, I would clip up with a semi-tight line once you are on the spot how you want to be, then re-cast to the clip and feel down to check the drop and the spot - then adjust at the clip if required to suit.
