Hi All,

Any advice on venues within and hour or so of Southend, Essex?

I'm looking for somewhere quieter for next year. Not bothered on size of fish more about the surroundings and somewhere I don't have to compete on 10 swims with 40+ other members.

Happy to travel a bit further from home for the right type of venue.

Thought I'd start to do some research now in preparation.

Any suggestions welcome, PM if preferred.

What about some of the rivers, and or, their tributaries in Essex, the lesser know ones, are they not a viable option for your peaceful fishing ?
no swims, and no names, next to no anglers.

I've never done any river fishing... always wanted to but never really known where to start to be honest but it may well be worth looking into
