About like 20 years ago we used to stay on Campsite at Saint Leon sur Vezere. Holiday with Eurocamp. Caught majority of carp up to 15lb at night. Too hot during the day. There are bigger carp in there for sure. Kevin Maddocks book recalls a 60lb caught in 1980's upstream from our campsite. Fantastic river with lots of good memories. Always one-toners for us. Love to fish there again. Good luck 🤞🏻

Thanks for that , have seen lots of vids showing fly fishing
but not much on the carp , staying near where it joins the Dordogne and have a deep stretch where were staying.Have fished a few French lakes past 25 years and want to have a go on the rivers , fished the Lot this year was an eye opener and learned a few hard lessons, love fishing in France

Fished the Lot & Dordogne. Catfish taking over most waterways now which is a real shame. Much prefer river fishing in the right conditions. Big leads and big boilies are the order of the day. Had 20's out of the Dordogne and 2 catfish. Would be better for long term pre baiting.
Struggled on the Lot. Seems very popular.
