I struggled to find what I wanted a few weeks back have you checked out ebay they have a direct outlet which changes weekly some are new some ex-demo.

It does say on their website SOME things are still manufactured in the UK

The only bits they get from U.K. companies is the power porter motor assembly parts but Carp porter make absolutely nothing themselfs

is correct the motor and electrical parts are uk, iwas told the motor looks like a hgv wagon wiper motor.
ive got the mk7 and it got deliverd in 2 boxs box 1.wheel/motor box 2 frame defo china.
good bits of kit,worth the money? down to the indivdual.
