Thinking of buying one of these, what are everyone's thoughts, worth it?

Brilliant bits of kit if you ask me, I've had it since it came out I really like mine. People moan about them and your always get the ones who are stuck in there ways but my deeper will tell you the depth and features on a swim in no time at all with just a few casts, where as a marker float and lead will take a lot longer plus make a lot more unwanted noise

I find the Chirp better then the Pro for connectivity. I used to get a lot of issues with the signal dropping out with the Pro but the Chirp is spot on every time and I have towed it out about 140yds with no issues. It's the quickest way to figure out the water IMO with minimal disturbance.

I've got one and been a help but do seem to have some issues if anyone can help.
Having to use the old App due to connection issues, 1second connected next second not and just keeps on like that. Old version App no issues
Used it the other day and showed weed quite high so put a marker lead on felt it down and all ok as well as the surrounding area. To double check put a grappling lead on it came back clear. So did my rigs from the area so a bit unsure

I use the old app also as the new one seems to be full of issues for some reason. It sounds like your sensitivity is too high, next time your using the Deeper try casting to a known clear area then start adjusting the slider on the sensitivity until you reach a point where all those green lines will disappear, I had the same issue and not sure if it was picking up algae or similar.

I've got a bit of a theory I want to try with it if I can. I also have a fishspy and to be honest I thought it was bl**dy useless, however, the thought is, if I can find the holes in the weed with the chirp, THEN send out the fishspy I can actually verify the hole or presence of weed in a particular spot. Granted clear water needed and probably no more than 3 to 4 deep, but my winter water is just that, so who knows, might just work with both gadgets together?

Tbh mate mines been pretty spot on with clear spots, never had a problem with finding them with it. I wouldn't buy both my chirp does it all

My bird bought me a Fishspy about two years ago and its been sat in a cupboard after one use. The lake I'm planning to target over winter is pretty choked with weed, I was there at the weekend and after every retrieval I was pulling in a 4 ft long trail of it all wrapped around my line etc. No matter what presentation you use I'm always sat there thinking I'm fouled up in it, so it's really just a bit of added confidence knowing I'm actually fishing rather than snagged up.
