Their boats are all good quality, whether you pick a cheap one or their most expensive ones. Good service too. I don't know if they're better than, say, Quicksilver or Zodiac.

Have the x wide 260, fantastic quality, never let me down both home and abroad, been used on some seriously demanding and snag ridden venues aswell.

Having owned both Raptor and Zodiac I can confirm the raptor material is far superior, I've Owned 2 zodiac and both had issues with seams peeling eventually. Bought a Raptor can't see me needing to buy another one anytime soon

But how long have you owned the Raptor, given the fact that the brand has only been around since 2015?
I've used an old Quicksilver until a year ago. That beast was manufactured in 1987, and I've sold it in perfect condition. I read many comments around the web about Raptor being the best out there, but I'm pretty sure mine is not going to last half as long as my Quicksilver.
Don't get me wrong: it's a decent boat at a very decent price, but time will tell just how good it is.

I've got a x wide 2m70 green raptor.
The stability is amazing and the quality is good.
I've used mine in rough situaations with a lot of rocks: the Soane, big reservoirs, etc and he is still doing fine.
But one thing i would never buy and that's a black boat.
During summer it can be that the boat becomes to hot to sit on

I don't think they even make them anymore (at least not the same company). But if you had a Zodiac fail twice within a few years, that's a bad sign. Was simply hinting at the fact that Raptor is still a young company. Many people claim it to be the best, but I don't think you can compare a company like Zodiac (since 1930) to Raptor (2015).
I also noticed how many people treat their Zodiacs different. They're more difficult to assemble so they get left in the water and sun for prolonged times. Makes comparison rather difficult, because a simple Raptor is assembled and packed within minutes.

All Raptor boats are excellent. I have a 2.6 or 2.7 (can't remember now) wide camo. Brilliant bit of kit but very heavy. I had a solid deck but decided to buy an air deck as an extra. Have to admit though that nothing beats my 2.7 zodiac, I can throw that on my shoulder (packed away) and move it from van to swims etc with no prob at all. Just a little light for the big Lacs.

What type is that Zodiac? Should be roughly the same weight as your Raptor?

I believe it's a Cadet. I would have to check the paperwork. About 8-10 years old I would say.
