I've used 15lb shimano technium black for years it's been super reliable and can only remember a couple of occasions where Its snapped. Ive recently respooled with the 15lb avid and its failed on me last week which cost me a fish and I've just lost another one due to line break on the other rod. That's two lost fish to two snapped lines on two completely different spots. I've fished these areas lots of times over the years quite successfully know them well. There is literally no snags they are silty areas in the middle of the lake. I was wondering if anyone else has had any issues with this line and if anyone knows where I can get some shimano technium black as I've lost all confidence in this line now.

I've just tested the abrasion resistance of it on a rock and it's terrible it's by far and a way the worst line of used in years. I paid £25 for It and its breaks like 6lb line if you rub it against a rock.

I've never seen anything like it. I showed the angler who was fishing g just up from and he was gob smacked.

As soon as I get home the avid crap is coming off. I've gone for Gardner Gt 80+ my mate uses it loves the stuff its supple and very strong.
