Hi all, I am often in the area of St Ives, Cambridgeshire and wondered if anyone knew if there are many carp in the Great River Ouse?

Loads of carp as along the ouse are many lakes prone to flooding. Otters have been on it for years too though so quite what has survived is a good question

Plenty still in the Gt Ouse I can tell you. Yes, some have been ottered but if you spend time finding the fish they are still there to be caught. Try to stay off the main river if you want more success. Lots of backwaters around the area which the carp spend a lot of time in. You only have to take a look off the pedestrian bridge over the Gt Ouse that joins Huntingdon to Godmanchester on a hot day to see that there are plenty of carp still there.
