I'm looking at getting my son a 6ft Carp rod he's nearly 4 I've seen tackle box do one Cfx?around £40
Does anyone own one or maybe recommend something else?

He might struggle with a reel at that age. My advice is get him a whip for bashing silvers until he's a bit older, unless he's already served that apprenticeship.

Yeah he's ok with a reel to be fair,he s big for his age.
All for encouraging the next generation 😊

I rang the Tacklebox recently as was looking at getting my 7yr old son a 6ft rod but the man advised my to go for the 9ft rod, mainly because the 6ft rods are like broomsticks.

That's a shame he might have to stay with a whip for a bit longer then.

I've got an 8yr old daughter and she uses my 6ft Wychwood Extricator - its a bit on the solid side (!!) but she can cast it.

I'd agree with the others tho - get him on a whip catching silvers first.
