Hi, the rear elastic has gone in my Armadillo (to be fair it's done some years on the bank) so looking for somewhere to get a replacement elastic. Can't remember if it's a mk1 or mk2 and not sure if that also makes a difference. Have emailed Aqua but had no reply so wondering if anyone on here can point me in the right direction?

When I did my Speciman bivvy which is very similar I just searched 5mm bungee elastic on Ebay....it was only about 99p per metre.
I got the old spring clips out and reused them .
A full elastic kit is available at £12.99. (copy/paste link)

It gives you an idea of what you are working with if you just get elastic and reuse clips..*

Undo screw caps on pole ends.
Thread strong mono down pole from joint ensuring it goes both sides of clip.
Pull both ends of mono and the clip comes out ....the clips are one way things.
Re-elastic clips and push/pull down inside pole till desired tension.
I redid the lot on mine.

I got Chub Bivvy tension bars (3)but they seem to be NLA.
KP Spares appear to have JRC tension bars @ £25 set of 3 (they have a facebook page)
Trakker do a set of 4...but they are £40. +P&P

I've used tent pole springs in the past, cheap as chips, easy to fit and work a treat, being as tents have used springs for donkies years, could never understand why bivvys had elastics that break.
