TF gear banana braid in 30lb used it for years without any issue up to 100 yards

I have 30lb whiplash with a 50lb leader and not had many problems. Never cracked off or snapped when hitting the clip hard. I have had the odd wind knot in the 15 years I've used it (the same braid).
Am looking to try the daiwa j braid x8 in 45lb straight through, but keep thinking if it ain't broke why fix it?
