I'm thinking about traveling down to monk Lakes next weekend in Kent for the very first time. Can anyone give me any tips for the bridges lake?

Bit of a rat race on there, if travelling down to Kent to fish there are plenty of better places imho

though im in a kent club. I sometimes use dsy tickets to tske my little boy or wife. Better facilities and no membership etc.
Ive fished monks a couple of times. Found fish are so mangled you cant even get a photo. Its easy enough
To catch. The drive to the swim seems convenient untill you realise you are looking at a circle of white vans.
And more importantly hesring the doors slam all day and night.
However, there is a olace called Elphicks just up the road that does not have those problems.

Went to Monks last Saturday. Couldn't get on any of the populat lakes as was really busy. Queued up an hour to get in and got put on a match Lake where the biggest carp was around 12lb. I caught 9 carp. Quite an easy and small lake to fish..
