Need suggestions for 9/10 ft rod which is 3.25 tc reason being i will be using it on a couple small-lake cat venues with cats upto 80lb. it will %90 of the time be used on small carp waters but with it being 3.25 tc im thinking thats a bit too much because i dont want it to take alot of the action out of me playing carp ? (size roughly 15-30lb) any suggestions would be great thanks.

I've got the 3s, lovely rods. Feel like a rod worth more than they cost. Had a lot of 9 and 10ft rods and these feel the most like a proper rod not a stalking rod you use for static fishing

thanks for the response lads, is it really worth holding out for these or are their others which are quite a bit cheaper? TIA

I've got a set of 9ft wychwood riots which were £100 for 3 and I've landed cats to 50lb on them when on a social. They have a lovely action but not in the same league as the CFX's but you can get 3 for the price of 1 CFX. Most carp rods you will be a bit undergunned for 80lb cats that's not to say you can't land them. Line and hooklink strength is probably more of the issue
