Hi gents.
I picked up a set of old Dictators for a good price, but noticed that one of the butt ring linings has a crack and small chip. Is there a way of repairing with an adhesive/glue of some sort, rather than trying to source a new ring?

It would be very hard to repair a ceramic lining - youd probably save a lot of time and money by getting a new ring put on and have the peace of mind that its a proper smooth finish.

Fuji have recently changed the colouration to their guides so if you want a perfect match you might have to do a bit of searching

I repaired a chipped ceramic liner on a sea rod years ago with araldite glue, you could hardly tell it had been repaired. It took quite a bit of modelling to get it to blend withe the rest of the ring but it's just making sure you put enough glue on and then shape it with a finger and spit that way you will then end up with a very smooth finish. This repair lasted years and did no damage to the line.

Cheers. I was thinking about using Araldite, might have to give it a go.

Tackle box replaced two inserts for me recently while I waited for £15. Well worth the drive.
