Out of all rods, Armalites hold a lot of nostalgia for me, and I must admit that the factory build mk3's look amazing!
Apparently the blank has undergone minor tweaks from the mk1's and 2's, giving it a little more backbone for distance fishing. Hopefully this has been done without sacrificing the original “perfect players” characteristics, and if so, these would be perfect all-rounders for me (I barely fish over 90yds anyway)

I would be interested to hear any first hand experiences and reviews of these mk3 blanks, as I'm seriously considering a set.

Whilst I can't give you an opinion om the rods performance - I also love the look of them. Nicest looking off the shelf rod in my opinion, keep fighting the urge to get one for floater fishing/single rod stalking sessions just for that cork and alps combo.

have owned mk3 2 3/4 test rods, brilliant players rod and can cast surprisingly well too. only downside i ever had with them was the build quality from the factory. they started to fall apart very quickly from new!!!

Owned a set of (pre-cork) 2,25lb Mk3 for about 8 years. Lovely playing action. Comfortable casting distance of 80-85m. Not capable to fish heavy weed / pull fish out of the weed. No compains about build quality.

eventually sold because buying a set of 3,25lb Torrix beside a set of 3pc. Harrison Stalkers
