So I've just received a second hand set of Reuben heaton specimens 60lb x 1 oz scales, and I can't get the pin to 0 with nothing on the hook.

The adjustment I have with the screw knob moves the hand between 11lb and 27lb. This isn't right at all is it? I'm assuming they will need calibrating?

Give the hook a sharp push in, then try and zero it.

Send em back to RH for 30£ they will come back looking like new
