I am in the process of buying a Jag pod but am stuck between deciding on two different options, do I go for the Super Compact or the 316 Adjustable super compact and do I go with black or stainless...

Weight is not really an issue I do like the black but I'm wondering how long the black lasts 😬
Just really need to know if I would use the adjustment buzz bars that much!!

The coating on the black Jag prolite is fairly tough but it does come off and scratches if you're pushing in to the bank, I went for the 316 compact adjustable as a lot of the time I fish 2 rods due to current club rules, the fixed 3 rod buzz bar is fairly wide
3 years in and it still looks like new, don't think I'd be able to say that about the prolite if I'd gone with that.

had both and much prefer black for the weight saving. i anchor mine with the supplied caribiner using a tent peg if I can't get the sticks in a few inches. on the pod I've got sticks in 5”, 7” and 9” which covers everything.
if it's not too hard I have three black excavators cos I prefer sticks if i'm not moving around. had the same set up in stainless and it weighed a tonne.
also carry a pair of black stage stands for platforms.
could just use the excavators as I'm not bothered about the odd scratch but if i'm moving around a lot the pod is much more convenient.

I have the 316 adjustable in stainless, it really is a great pod, covers all situations and is built to last. I added a pair of 10 inch bank sticks to mine and this gives me a few other options should i need them. I've had a few pods over the years, this really is one of the best.

Stainless version for me. Will last forever and i prefer the extra weight for a pod. My mate has a black one and its got quite a few scratches in it now and looks a bit battered.
