Should I use 30lb Whiplash straight through for spod and marker work, or should I add a leader to it?

I use 30lb whiplash with a 50lb leader on my spod reel it's fine never had a crack off I personally wouldn't use 30 straight through for spodding a large spomb but small and midi should be fine

Just to be in the safe side I use a 30lb leader on my marker and a 50lb leader on my spomb, both Armakord.
I find it easier on to work with in the wind and better on the finger when casting. You'll still need a finger stool

What knot would you use to connect the leader.. Albright or back to back grinner??
