In the mid sixties my grandfather Joe Massey was bailiff on the dam and between the ages of 10 to 16 it was my outdoor playground. For much of the way round adults rarely appeared and I could do pretty much as I liked. I got to know every stick and stone from the dam up past the old dam and along Bradley and mag Brook. I could sit above the dam and or climb a tree to watch some really big fish, pike and carp and when they were spawning below the church, some big tench. It was a very special place to me
My family moved to the Southwest and I have not been back since. In the next year or two I may be spending some time in the area and would love to visit and perhaps fish the dam. I can't really get a clear picture of things from the net. Would love some info from people who know it well in the 21st century. Grateful for any information.

Bay malton did run day tickets on there, that was a few years back now not sure if they still do now . I've never actually fished the place but walked round it on the odd occasion and never really seen many people fishing it on the occasions I was there . I would like to know what's in there, it really is a cracking looking lake .

Unfortunately my info is 50 years old. If the fish have kept growing, they will be lumps by now.

Lymm used to run it years ago only ever fished it the once and that was for pike
