I've recently got one and only used it for one trip so far so have limited experience to relate.
However, my impression is that it's bloody awesome! Seems really light but its very powerful. I was putting a spod out to 30 wraps, so not extreme range, but I am delighted with the purchase. I also own and use a tackle box cfx spod rod and would say that the shimano is undoubtedly the superior tool.
