I'm not sure there is one, canon decided to leave the jack port out by the look of it

That's what i'm confused by, by the looks of it it only has a micro HDMI port and a mini USB type B port, I'm hoping someone knows if there is an intervalometer that is compatible with these ports?

Is it for self takes?
If that's all you want then a shutter release remote will do, or at the very least you should have a built in timer function on the camera (not always ideal, but better than nothing).
Personally i just use a remote on my Nikon.

All I could find to do it is taking a laptop and tethering the camera, not something I'd do for a catch shot

Your best bet is probably an air bulb kit, you can trigger that with your foot or knee
Or look at software hacks, chdk may have some code you download to the card to give you extra features

I use a air bulb kit on my D70 and it works great
