Hi lads ,what couriers do everyone use for posting large items .
I'm looking to post a rod bag ,bivvy etc.

Go on interparcel website type in the measurements and weight it will give you a list of couriers that will collect & deliver . I normally use UPS or DPD

I normally use TNT never had a problem I've sent rods and other fragile bits spot on

Stay away from hermes they dont know their arse from their elbow at the minute

Had 3 recent deliveries by Hermes and been absolutely spot on

I've no problems with Hermes touchwood.
That's not to say they're perfect because no company is perfect. I used to hear about colour TV's being delivered by chucking them over garden wall but not heard of that for years.

Must admit the 3 items I've sold recently, I have sent via Hermes and they arrived no problems. I always use next day service and signed for.

They are truly awful recently!!!
Avoid avoid avoid Hermes
They recently lost 30,000 parcels due to a scanner error
Easier to walk it there yourself would be quicker. Used to use them but won't ever again shocking!!!!

I normally trust Royal Mail, I waited in for a parcel and was surprised to get a text to say it had been delivered and as it was recorded I didn't have a leg to stand on. (no signature required due to covid)
It finally turned up, it was delivered to another address but fortunately the occupants finally got round to bringing it to me 3 days later.

I posted a bike a few weeks ago, it went via Hermes.
Took 3 weeks to admit it was lost, they've agreed to pay (so glad I paid for extra insurance).
The good thing is they'll refund me in 28 days, how kind of them
I posted it 6 weeks ago, still no money back.

Caught me with this one, lost my buzzer bars I'd brought it eBay.
Next day service ended up taking 2 weeks, escalated up to a director to get some answers as the customer service is woeful
