I am looking into buying a Bic 245 boat. can anyone recommend a trailer or roof rack at all please?

I've got the bigger Bic 252. I transport it on top of my 5' x 4' bog standard trailer. I have two wooden cross bars ( 4 x3's) with end brackets on and the the whole thing is ratchet strapped down fore and aft. The overhang is within legal limits, just make sure you are not too close to the boot lid so it doesn't foul when you do a tight turn
I once got stopped by the traffic police, it was late and I think they were bored. They looked it over said it was fine although technically the flag at the back should be red, spent 10 minutes chatting about fishing then wished me tight lines and sent me on my way

On the bottom side of the 4x3 which fits onto the trailer there is a block of wood screwed into each end which is the exact width of the Trailer so they can't move side to side. On the upper surface where the boat sits they have L shaped metal brackets (B&Q) which are set at the width of the boat and padded with foam. This ensures that the boat can't move Side to side.
Once the ratchet straps are tightened the whole thing is absolutely rock solid and safe. Once on the move the shape of the hull let's the air pass over it and forces the whole lot downwards so it's very stable. The only problem is you forget it's there and your speed creeps up
