The little Grey ones , if so I think there brilliant for just touching hooks up out the packet or after a fish. Use mine on most sessions.

No its not that one its a big flat file and pretty expensive at £25 so just wondering if it justifies its price?

I've got both the point doctors and the new flat file. I find it easier to use than the Jag file. I'm still useless at sharpening tho which is why I buy Jamie's pre sharpened.
I'd say it's better than the Jag .

I've got the red point doctor, it's like trying to sharpen a hook on a marshmallow. Didn't get on with it at all.

Its not any of the point doctors, its a flat file like a jewellers file.

It's a double sided diamond file, looks decent to be fair
The point doctors are great for removing the coating and a final polish of the point, no good for reshaping which is where this comes in.
Hook coatings clog diamond stones pretty quick
these. Are handy to restore them.
Given the width of this gardner one it'd take a long time to clog it, grooved ones will clog quickly
There are thousands of types of diamond hones on amazon for less money, anything double sided with 300 and 600grit sides will do the same job
