Hi guys, took the plunge and spent a few quid on one of these.
Read the description and it says the internal padded sections have their own butt pockets.
Thinking that this would negate the need for any other protection I ordered one.
When it turned up last week it has nothing at the bottom to separate anything.
I emailed Cotswold to see if this was the case but no one has replied.
So if anyone has one can you tell me if this is correct and the butts and tips are free to crash around?

No mine never had that,unless it is the padded sleeve in the middle helps keep the butt sections separate

I have a 3 Rod Trident and that has a butt pocket for the middle rod

Perhaps that just applies to the 3 rod?
It would have been nice to have as this would stop the butts and tips from clashing together without the need for additional padding, it is a lovely bit of kit , just that part was a little disappointing as it's not really as described on their website.
Surprised that Cotswold have ignored my question.

Unzip it to the bottom and look,I'm sure it just means the sleeves inside go to the bottom so keep the rods separate

Cheers, I'll have another look to see if I've missed something but the inners sleeves stop around 3-4 inches from the bottom of the bag I think.

So , I guess it he 4-5 rod doesn't? Just a bit strange one would and one wouldn't
Not a major problem just would have been nice to know before I bought one.
Probably wouldn't have changed my mind but it would have been a consideration as I wanted something that I wouldn't need to add any other protection to.

Its easier to split the 3 rod and have one in the middle as has a rod either side. Your cant really do that with the 5 rod as there isnt a middle rod if that makes sense.

Didn't really think of the complexity of it, just thought that there would be a butt pocket on each of the two sleeves separating the tips of the 5 rods, still, not a major problem just a new set of tip protection

I have 3 of these 3/5 rod holdalls Neither of them have seperate butt pockets in the bottom of them. However I use tip and butt protectors on all my rods.
The rods dont tend to flap about too much since the velcro straps hold them pretty well.
