Currently using a MK1 Foxflatliner and it's starting to play havoc with my back.
Also the legs are incredibly hard to unlock and extend.
So thinking about a new one and there seems to be good new options from AVID and Solar.
Not interested in sleep systems as have a sleeping bag.
What would you recommend?

New mk2 flatliner is worth a look I have the 6 leg version and very happy with it has lumber support but what ever version you get . Get yourself some form of self inflating mattress helps he'll of a lot with adding comfort

If weight and price is not an issue the Solar bedchair is the one to buy apparently
I dont own one myself but have a couple of friends that are very experienced having owned most on the market and both say best ever bedchair especially if you have back problems

I recently bought a wychwood tactical bedchair after reading good reviews on here and use with a helium SIM and it's really good.
Very light and comfortable...I suffer with my back and although not done many nights it seems brilliant.

The solar bed is heavy and pricey but by god its comfy. I had a flatliner before it and its so much more comfy. The build quality of it is in a different league to the flatliner which is probably why it weighs so much, its built like a tank. I would try one first if you can though and try it for yourself as everyone is different and its quite firm.

Now have the solar sp wide sleep system. Best bed I've owned but it's big and heavy. Would not want to have to carry it any distance

Got the standard size solar bedchair last week, seems to be firm enough to do without the bed buddy. Very comfortable and only 10.5 kg.
The middle lumber section is slotted solid in to the inside of the frame, with the head and foot end is elasticated.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm thinking about the solar one.
Not worried about weight so will have a look at one when normal life resumes.
