Morning All

Just wondering if any of you used the Free spirits CTX SU range or the E class gold SU range.

I am looking at buying some new rods in the £200 each bracket. I need to up my casting distance as my current old Soniks are no longer up to the job.

I am wondering if there is much of a difference in quality between the CTX's and the E Class to justify the price jump.

Seeing as I cant really go and look at them any advice or suggestions would be helpful.

If you can afford it go for the E class Gold vs the Ctx its worth the extra cost.

Yes and Ctx, Fs used the hi-s carbon for the E class gold, the are another level compared to Ctx.

Ok mate thanks for the info. I think ill pay the extra then : )

Had e class golds last year and they're a serious bit of kit for the money ,sold them and got century ng's and regretted it.

Thanks for the info. A friend has the NG'S He finds them a bit heavy and stiff. Not used them myself. Sounds like the E class is the way to go for my budget.

Check which e-class gold you get...I bought 3 a few months ago and the free spirit rep was in the tackle shop.... he told me there were changing the carbon in the new e class gold which will be a little bit cheaper than the current e class gold rods..... he advised the current e class Gold are a superior rod to the new ones which are coming out.....

Ok mate will do. I'm gonna call the Tacklebox to order them next week so I'll ask the question. They should know whats what. If they dont ill go elsewhere. How you finding them out of interest?. Im looking at the 12ft 3.5lb su. I want to be hitting about 120 to 140 yards on the lake im on so im hoping they will be up to the job.

The su is a bit of a beast. I found mine a bit extreme for uk fishing.
