I've managed to snap the tip ring on one of my catfish rods, the metal ring has snapped but the blank is fine. Anyone got any tips for the best way to remove the rest of the tip eye without damaging the blank, or lacquer too much?

Gently warm the ring progressively until the adhesive softens. Remove any whipping and keep heat source away from the blank. Eventually it should slide off easily. Don't rush it, don't force it.

Spot on warm the araldite up and slide off gently

When I done the same I used a heat gun but a hair dryer will do then simply fitted another ring with resin
