That number will change with each turn though - the more line that is already on the spool, the thicker the diameter, the more line will be retrieved each turn.

it's a ball ache but one way to be sure is place a marker on the line with tape or similar and create a datum point (eg tip ring), do a full reel turn then measure from datum point to marker. Then do say 50 reel turns and measure again (length of line will have increased). Then multiple 50 by the everage of the two measurents. Keep going until you get to the amount of yards you want.

As has been said the amount of line already on the spool will change depending on the amount already wound on, so it changes from one reel turn to the next.

An easier way if you have an empty line spool the same as a new one then weigh the empty one on digital scales and subtract that amount from the full one. that gives you total weight of line so take the amount of line in yards shown on the label to get x yards by weight then divide for thr amount needed and reel it on until weight drops by that amount.

The only other way and possibly simplest is use marker sticks and do wraps to the required yards then reel back on.
