Was wondering on what people's views were on oval bedchairs?
I've never tried one, but got the feeling that they might be snake oil!

I like the concept however as i prefer a firm bed i can't help but think and oval bed will naturally sag more due to being wider in the middle, despite having an elasticated lumbar support....indeed if you watch the latest promo video by Trakker, when the guy sits on the bed it certainly does appear to sag quite a bit.
Personal preference though, certainly doesn't make them a poor product.

Interesting concept. I'm pretty sure you'd need to be a very odd shape to need an oval bed.

An alternative view would be how do you get people to buy another version of a product that lasts 20 years?
It is not just tackle manufacturers that are constantly re-inventing the wheel to get us to part with our hard earned. There are plenty of people who must have the latest phone or whatever, and this is not necessarily always a bad thing as it does drive progress. It is up to the individual to decide.

Concept wise they work. I have an Oval system and a Fast and light brolly and the beds do tuck into the back of the brolly well. Coupled with the thinner ends of the bed it means that everything is under cover. I found with my old benchmark (standard width) the ends of the bed got wet in a light shower and you're sat much further forward which I didn't like.
Comfort wise like Spod said there is more sag in the middle and I do prefer a firm bed, especially just for sitting on.
I've just ordered a 2 man tent to take my lad along and a new benchmark and he'll definitely be sleeping on the Oval!
