6 years ago I stopped Fishing because of the birth of my 2 children, now the are older i would like to start carp fishing again and have to buy a whole new set so I need to pay a little attention to my budget.


I came across the following rods from sonik:

Vader x 12 3Lb Cork and Dominator X 12 3Lb Cork
Is't worth to spend a little bit more for the Dominator X?

i Fish on a lake (70/80 yards casting)

Or would it be much better to increase my budget for Free spirit Ctx Cork

Next year I will buy a new hand-built set (Poeli's rods) so now I don't want to spend too much unnecessarily,.

Think the Sonik have the 1k weave so better performance than the Vaders

I have the vader x in 12ft 3.25lb. for the price they are decent and can easily cast 80 yards. for a similar price though the fox warrior s are a great fish playing rod so it all depends on what you want. I've not long upgraded so free spirit e class golds and they are a far superior rod but they are also £110 more. if they are anything like the ctx then they are worth getting.

2 x Vader X 12'' 3Lb costs only £ 95.00 seems like a no brainer for that price.
